RAJOURI, Apr 1: A laparoscopic surgery workshop was organized at Army Hospital in Rajouri under Ace of Spade Division.
Laparoscopic surgery has been introduced in this region for the very first time. The aim of the workshop was to reach out to the dependent clientele in this remote area and provide them with comprehensive latest surgical management for their ailments and benefits.
A total of 14 patients were operated using the latest state of art laparoscopic surgery equipments. All patients had uneventful recovery and were fit for discharge in the second post operative day.
The highlight of the event was the successful surgery of a 32-years-old female suffering from Down’s syndrome who had been deprived the surgery at various centres considering the complications associated with her surgery.
