Large number of devotees thronging Siddhi Vinayak Temple

JAMMU, Sept 13:  A large number of devotees are thronging Siddhi Vinayak Temple Muthi where the 10 day- long celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi are underway.
The function started on September 9 and the celebrations will culminate on Ganesh Chaturthi falling on September 18 with solemnization of Maha Yagya. This will be followed by serving of Prashad to devotees.
The function was organized by Maha Ganesh Charitable Trust Hanand Chawalgam, camp Jammu, which has constructed a grand Sidi Vinayak temple here, the replica of Maha Ganesh Temple of Hand Chawalgam, Kashmir after the mass migration of Pandits from Valley.
During the 10-day long religious function the Bhajan Sandya will be held by Bhushan Lal Bhat (Sharnagat) and other devotees. On the concluding day the immersion ceremony of idols of Lord Ganesh will be held in river Chenab at Akhnoor.
Giving information chairman of the Trust Jagar Nath Handoo and its secretary, Prof O N Kaul said that Sidi Vinayak temple at Muthi is first of  this kind of a grand Ganesh Temple in Jammu. They said the foundation stone of community hall in the temple complex will be laid during coming Navratras.
