LEH, Apr 6: Nyoma and Leh Police seized large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police spokesman, a team from Police Station Nyoma during random checking intercepted three vehicles bearing registration numbers JK10-5901, JK10A-1739 and JK10A-0861.
During checking, police team recovered 128 boxes of illicit liquor, which were being transported from Manali to Leh.
Three cases under FIR Number 5/2021, 6/2021 and 7/2021 under Section 48 (A) Excise Act were registered at Police Station Nyoma and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Leh during checking at Karzoo crossing and recovered 34 bottles of illicit liquor from a Maruti Van bearing registration number JK10A-1839.
A case under FIR Number 50/2021 under section 48 (A) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Leh and investigation started.
Meanwhile, SSP Leh Rajiv Pandey has appreciated the good work done by these police teams and have also announced suitable rewards for the teams.
