JAMMU, Nov 25: The State Election Commission today extended last date for filing of DDC Migrant Postal Ballot i.e. the letter of intimation to vote by postal ballot for Kashmir migrants in the District Development Council (DDC) elections for all eight phases.
For first phase now, the last date is November 26 while it is November 27 for second phase, November 29 for third phase, December 1 for fourth phase, December 3 for fifth phase, December 5 for sixth phase, December 7 for seventh phase and December 9 for eighth phase.
Meanwhile, the last date for filing of Panchayat Migrant Postal Ballot (PMPB) for fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth phases of Panchayat by-elections will be last date of withdrawal of nominations instead of the last date of filing of nomination, in the respective constituencies.
“The cast ballot papers shall have to reach the ARO Headquarters up to two days before the day of poll in the respective constituency during the Panchayat by-elections,” the order said.
