JAMMU, Oct 6: The last rites of Pushpa Sadhotra, mother of senior National Conference leader and former Minister, Ajay Sadhotra were performed at Shastri Nagar Cremation Ground this afternoon.
People from all walks of life including National Conference Ministers, Legislators, party office bearers, activists, businessmen and industrialists participated in the funeral procession and last rites of Ajay Sadhotra’s mother.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah flew here from Srinagar to attend the cremation of party legislator’s mother. He was accompanied by Minister for Industries and Commerce, Surjit Singh Slathia, Political Advisor Davinder Singh Rana and provincial president of the party Rattan Lal Gupta and others.
Later, Chief Minister visited the house of Ajay Sadhotra to condole the demise of his mother. Omar remained with the bereaved family, consoled the members, expressed his sympathy and prayed for the peace to the departed soul.
