SRINAGAR, Sept 6: Continuing with its drive to remove illegally raised structures, Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) through its Enforcement Wing today demolished 10 illegal constructions/structures in various areas of Srinagar city.
Enforcement Officer of LAWDA said the structures were demolished at Brein Nishat Laam, Karpora Cheshmashai, Doji Mohalla NFR and Chandpora Harwan. He said a team of the Enforcement Wing headed by Demolition Incharge laid nakas at different spots of Dal jurisdiction in which one load carrier ferrying construction material illegally was intercepted and subsequently FIR was lodged in the case and vehicle was also seized.
He said the demolition drive will continue and elements creating hurdles in the process will be dealt under law.
