POONCH, Aug 11: Members of Bar Association Mendhar in Poonch district on Wednesday suspended work in protest against the alleged misbehaviour by a police constable with a lawyer near Police Post Ari in the area.
The decision to suspend work followed, after a meeting of the association in which the Bar members took the issue very seriously.
“Police personnel, a Head Constable, posted at Police Post Ari misbehaved with an advocate on the road in front of the Police Post,” the Association’s president said, adding, “The Bar Association Mendhar has decided to suspend the court work/appearance till action is taken against the Head Constable.”
