Laying of swerage pipes by ERA and other associated agencies in Jammu has brought more problems to the people than any type of benefit. The project not only has been going on at a snail’s pace but it has created more hardships for the people.
Those roads and colony lanes which have been dug out one to two years back have been left without being repaired and black tapped. People have been approaching the authorities of ERA and R&B division of the PWD but excepting passing on the buck from one to the other, none comes forth to solve the problem.
There are instances where roads have been dug even out two years ago but not repaired so far and made usable by two wheeler riders, car owners and pedestrians respectively. Janipur, Paloura Patoli, Sarwal, Rehari, New Plots, Top Sherkhanian, Shaktinagar, and other areas are a few worth mentioned.
Monsoon rains are now shortly expected and the condition of these roads is feared to get worse. Shall the concerned authorities look into the matter and not test the patience of the sufferers of the affected areas?
