LBA vows to fight against Govt on reservation issue

LADAKH, Dec 10: Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) along with various other religious and Government employees’ organizations today vowed to fight against the Government on reservation issue.
During a meeting convened today by LBA at Sheynam Community Hall in which all religious organisations and State Government employees (both Gazetted and non-Gazetted) participated, the speakers discussed the issue of recent striking down of reservation quota in promotion by High Court of Jammu and Kashmir.
The speakers said the HC order has aroused a huge resentment among the Government employees especially of Leh and Kargil district which has around 90% of population under the reserved category.
Tsewang Thinless, president LBA, Ashraf Ali, president, Anjuman Immamia, Saif-ud-Din, president Anjuman Moin-Ul-Islam, Tashi Chosphel, president, employees association and Ayub, vice-president, employees association, strongly condemned the decision of High Court and stressed that such insensitive attitude of the State Government has led to adverse repercussion owing to agitating the employees for which the religious association under the banner of LBA will fight tooth and nail on the above issue.
