SRINAGAR, June 23: A meeting of the Legislative Council committee constituted to look into the encroachment of the land of Drug Research Farm (DRF) of Agriculture Department at Katra was held today under the chairmanship of Member Legislative Council (MLC) Sheikh Ghulam Rasool.
Legislators, Mohammad Ashraf Mir and B. R. Kundal attended the meeting and examined in detail the report submitted by the Revenue Department.
Commissioner Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, Asgar Samoon, Commissioner Secretary, Revenue Vinod Koul briefed the Committee.
The Committee asked the Council Secretariat that the information given by the Revenue Department about the matter should be kept in record.
The Panel decided that the Committee will conduct on the spot inspection of the site shortly so that the recommendations in this regard would be submitted.
