JAMMU, Dec 13: The Committee on Department Related Standing Committee (DRSC)-II of Legislative Council headed by its Chairman, MLC Vijay Bakaya today visited Super Speciality Hospital and took stock of the measures taken by the administration for providing better medicare facilities to the patients.
The Chairman was accompanied by the members of the Committee including, Jehangir Hussain Mir, Dharambir Singh Oberoi, B. R. Kundal and Dr. Shehnaz Ganai.
The Committee interacted with the patients in Nephrology unit and expressed their satisfaction over the working of the unit.
Earlier, the Committee visited various blocks of the hospital including CT scan, Nephrology, Urology, ICU, Dialysis, Cardiology and other wings.
The Principal GMC briefed the Committee members about the functioning of the hospital.
Special Secretary, Health and Medical Education Sheikh Mukhtar, Additional Secretary, Legislative Council Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, Deputy Secretary, Legislative Council G M Nishati and other officers accompanied the panel during their visit.
Later, the Committee convened a meeting with the hospital management and discussed over all functioning of the hospital.
The Chairman directed the hospital management to ensure proper treatment to the patients. The panel also directed them to maintain cleanliness in an around the hospital.
