LDC delegation calls on LG; raises college, KV, road issues

JAMMU, Aug 11: A delegation of Latti Development Committee (LDC) from remote Dudu Sub Division in district Udhampur, called on the Lt Governor of JKUT, Manoj Sinha last evening and submitted a memorandum with regard to burning issues/demands of the area.
Led by the Chairman of the Committee and Sarpanch Latti, Kasturi Lal Gupta, the members during meeting with the Lt Governor at Raj Bhawan Jammu, raised the burning issues of this remote area. They strongly demanded upgradation/proper maintenance of the road from Maan Talai to Dudu and Shiv Gali, construction of Dudu-Seoj and Bari-Nadrat roads, besides establishment of Govt Degree College and Kendriya Vidyalya (KV) at Latti tehsil headquarters.
They further demanded sports stadium at Latti -B Panchayat for which the land has been identified and the DPR submitted by the PW(R&B) Department and establishment of Tourist Reception Centre at Sira village of Latti for which DPR worth Rs 28.88 crores stands submitted by the PW(R&B) Division Chenani to the concerned authorities besides establishment of a Fire Station in Latti Tehsil to prevent fire incidents. They also invited the LG to visit picturesque Dudu Sub Division.
Those who accompanied the delegation included- Beant Gupta, Hans Raj, Pardeep Singh Rana, Amita Bachan, Pawan Sharma and Piyush Manhas.
