LDC demands GDC, ITI at Latti

UDHAMPUR, Sept 17: Latti Development Committee (LDC) has urged upon the State Administration to sanction Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and a Govt Degree College (GDC) at Latti tehsil headquarters besides up-gradation of Govt High School at Dudu to the Higher Secondary level in district Udhampur.
Members of the LDC including Sarpanch Latti, Kasturi Lal Gupta and Sarpanch Dudu, Dev Raj who also projected the demands of the people from this remote area of district Udhampur before the Advisor, Farooq Khan the other day, said that while almost all the tehsils of district Udhampur including Chenani, Ramnagar, Majalta etc have been sanctioned Degree Colleges but the remote Latti Tehsil has been ignored. Moreover, there is no ITI in the entire area.
They demanded that Govt is already focusing on skill development, but this entire Latti-Dudu -Basantgarh belt has not even a single ITI. They demanded that an ITI be sanctioned at Latti so that local boys and girls could get employment opportunities. They also demanded up-gradation of Govt High School Dudu (Parla) to the Higher Secondary level and posting of SDO, at Sub Divisional Horticulture Office, Latti which is lying vacant for the last 4 years. They demanded proper monitoring of all the Tehsil level offices in the area.
Prominent among those who accompanied included, Naib Sarpanch Kans Raj, Babu Abdul Rehman, Master Anant Ram, Mohd Issaq, Naresh Kumar and Bashir Ahmed.
