NEW DELHI, June 9: Taking positive cues from the global market and rising spot demand, lead futures traded a shade higher at Rs 122.70 per kg today as participants enlarged positions.
Lead for delivery in June traded higher by 20 paise, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 122.70 per kg in a business turnover of 373 lots in futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange.
Analysts said besides better demand from battery makers in spot market, firm global trend in base metals after weaker-than-estimated inflation data from China bolstered the case for further stimulus, mainly helped lead to trade higher in futures market. *(PTI)
