Lead futures down on subdued spot demand, global cues

NEW DELHI, Sept 8:  Lead eased 0.40 per cent to Rs 112.50 per kg in futures trade today largely due to subdued spot demand and weak global cues.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the October contracts of lead fell 45 paise or 0.40 per cent to Rs 112.50 per kg in a business turnover of 15 lots.
Also, the September contracts of the metal fell by 40 paise or 0.36 per cent to Rs 111.50 per kg in 186 lots.
Marketmen said the fall in lead futures was due to a subdued demand from battery-makers at domestic markets and weak global cues after trade data showed Chinese exports fell again in August. (PTI)
