NEW DELHI, Oct 29: Lead futures traded a shade lower at Rs 134.70 per kg after speculators trimmed positions amid a weak trend in select base metals overseas and subdued spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in October shed 35, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 134.70 per kg in business turnover of 275 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in November declined by 5 paise, or 0.02 per cent, to Rs 136.10 per kg in a turnover of 46 lots.
Market analysts said besides subdued domestic demand, a weak trend in select base metals at the London Metal Exchange, mainly weighed on the lead futures prices here. (PTI)
