NEW DELHI, June 3: Lead futures rose 0.28 per cent to Rs 123.95 per kg as participants enlarged positions on rising spot demand at domestic markets amid a firming trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in July traded higher by 35 paise, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 123.95 per kg, with a turnover of two lots.
The metal for delivery in June also rose by 25 paise, or 0.20 per cent, to trade at Rs 123.15 per kg, in a business turnover of 120 lots.
Marketmen said better domestic demand, particularly from battery-makers and a firming trend in the base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange, led to rise in lead prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
