Lead futures up on strong spot demand, overseas cues

NEW DELHI, June 3:  Lead futures prices today gained 0.76 per cent on rising demand at domestic spot markets and positive cues from global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in July traded 95 paise, or 0.76 per cent higher at Rs 125.60 per kg, with a turnover of 80 lots.
The metal for delivery in June also rose by 85 paise, or 0.68 per cent to trade at Rs 125.05 per kg, in a business turnover of 2,340 lots.
Marketmen said besides strong domestic demand from battery-makers, a firm trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange influenced lead prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
