JAMMU, Nov 1: Department of Electronics, Government Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College organized a guest lecture on “Advances in Electronics”.
On the occasion, Dr Rakesh Vaid, Associate Prof of Electronics, Department of Department of Physics and Electronics, University of Jammu was the resource person.
The speaker discussed the developments of electronics from the era of vacuum tubes to the latest technology in communication, consumer electronics, medical science etc.
He also discussed latest research conducted by his group in the Department of Physics and Electronics, University of Jammu in the area of device simulation and Nano Electronic devices.
Principal of the College Dr Satinder Singh exhorted for organizing such lectures frequently for the benefit of students.
Earlier, Dr Revenuer Tickoo, Head Department of Electronics presented the welcome address, whereas in the end Prof Meena Gupta presented formal vote of thanks.
