REASI, Oct 31: The Placement, Career-Counselling and Information Centre of Govt Degree College Reasi started a series of counselling lectures, here today.
The inaugural lecture regarding career orientation and counselling in civil services was delivered by DDC Reasi Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.
DDC presented views on competitive skill development and basics for preparing for civil services.
Later on an interactive session was also held wherein DDC cleared all queries and doubts raised by students present on the occasion.
Dr Choudhary said, “the objective of such programmes was to create awareness among the students regarding opportunities and challenges in deciding their career options.
Principal of the College, Ajeet Angral, said in coming days extensive lectures and interactive sessions of students with persons from different fields like Banks, Army, Civil Services will be organised.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by the students Narinder Singh and Prithi Singh while Prof Prem Singh presented vote of thanks.
A symposium was also organised on “Role of Red Cross in 21st Century, Future and Challenges ”, wherein about 12 participants put-forth their views.
