VIJAYPUR, Dec 30: A lecture on topic ‘Online financial frauds’ was organised for Police personnel and trainees at Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI), Vijaypur here today.
Prof. Vinod Sharma of MCA Department of Jammu University delivered an impressive lecture on various online frauds viz. OTP Fraud, fraud using remote access mobile app, UPI fraud, Refund fraud, OLX fraud using digital documents, fraud using fake SMS, SIM swap fraud, QR code scam, etc. and highlighted the importance of proper understanding of various online frauds.
He suggested various security tips and tricks to prevent such threats and advised the participants not to share any sensitive information viz OTP, Bank Details & passwords etc. on mobile.
Speaking on the occasion, Shiv Kumar-IPS, SSP, Principal PTTI Vijaypur told that such lectures are being organized to make aware Police personnel about modalities being adopted by Cyber scammers and to look out for steps to be taken for its prevention.
He thanked Prof. Vinod Sharma for sparing his precious time to make aware staff and trainees of the Institute.
