Lecture series for M Tech, MCA students begins at JU

JAMMU, Feb 25: The Department of Computer Science & IT, University of Jammu, has started invited lecture series for M Tech and MCA students of the Department, wherein the experts from different specialized fields/Computer Science interact with the students on the topics of high technological advances, academia-industry relations, research initiatives etc.
Prof Sanjay Tanwani, Dean, Faculty of Engineering Science & Computer Science, Devi Ahilya University, Indore delivered first lecture of this series. He explained that Data Warehousing & Mining is an emerging domain of Computer Science for knowledge discovery with high technological and research significance. He further explained that most of the business houses require strong concepts and applications for learning about their customers behavior by examining large databases.
Earlier Prof  Vibhakar Mansotra, Head, Department of Computer Science & IT, JU informed that the department has started invited lecture series for the benefit of M Tech and MCA students.
The Lecture was also attended by research scholars and some teachers of the Department.
Prof Vinod Sharma, Prof Pawanesh Abrol, Jasbir Singh, Dr Shubhnandan Singh Jamwal and members of the technical staff also attended the lecture.
