JAMMU, Dec 28: To discuss the critical issues faced by the incharge lecturers, a delegation of J&K Lecturer Forum met with Education Minister, Sakina Itoo here today.
The delegation was led by Vijay Kumar, President of the forum and Babu Hussain Malik, President of J&K Govt Employee Joint Action Committee.
The members highlighted the plight of incharge lecturers, who have retired or passed away without their source being regularization.
They also raised concerns about other pressing matters such as filling up of vacant post of headmaster, principals, lecturers, masters, justified rationalization of teaching and non- teaching staff to address shortage in higher secondary schools of Jammu division.
During the meeting the delegation presented a detailed memorandum attaining their demands. The memorandum emphasized the urgent need for regularization of all incharge lecturers to provide them job security and benefit them rightfully.
The Education Minister patiently listened to the concerns raised by the delegation and assured them that all necessary steps would be taken to resolve their issues properly.
She expressed a commitment to addressing the long pending demands and assured the forum of her full support in expanding the process.
The delegation expressed hope that their grievance would soon be resolved for the welfare of teaching community.
Among others, who were the part of delegation included Kulzeet Singh (advisor) ,Vimal (chief advisor), Pradeep Kotwal (press secretary), Subhash Chandar (general secretary of Kathua dist), Shayam Singh, Salim Khan, Yash Paul, Manmohan Singh, Bodh Raj, Mohd Hussain and Santokh Kumar.
