JAMMU, Apr 2: Due to the scheduled Lok Sabha elections, All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum has decided to postpone the celebration of Annual Lecturers’ Day, which falls on April 9 every year.
A unanimous decision in this regard was taken during an emergency meeting held under the chairmanship of State president N S Jamwal at the Forum central office.
All central executive, district presidents, tehsil heads and core members of the Forum were present in the meeting who opined that keeping in view the engagement of Plus-2 community in the election duties, the celebration of Annual Lecturers’ Day should be postponed.
The meet also decided that the celebration would be held after completion of ongoing election process and fresh date for the same would be announced later on.
The meeting was addressed by Charan Dass, Manmeet Bali, Tarsem Singh Ashwani Kumar, Utter Kumar, Dr Anis, Talib Hussain, Narender Sharma, Deepak Sharma and Suresh Kumar.
