Lecturers’ Forum calls on Alok Kumar, other officers

JAMMU, May 4: A high level delegation of All JK +2 Lecturers’ Forum, under the leadership of Chairman R S Salathia and President Pardeep Singh Rakwal today called on Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Alok Kumar and held a threadbare discussion with him on various issues with special thrust on regularization of Incharge Lecturers and other officers of Plus 2 Cadre.
Pardeep Singh Rakwal urged Alok Kumar to open all five zones of all districts for the applicants to make ATD more teacher-friendly. He also requested Alok Kumar to indicate list of schools followed by District and Zone on the ATD portal and adjust staff close to the their residence as far as possible as this step would strengthen the academic activities to its fullest.
On regularisation, Chairman of the Forum RS Salathia urged Principal Secretary to end Inchargeism culture once for all by providing one-time exemption to I/C lecturers for their regularisation without referring the cases to JKPSC/ DPC as per Govt Order No.114- GAD which directs for one time exemption to School Education Department for regularisation/ confirmation of Gazetted cadre without referring the cases to JKPSC/DPC.
Principal Secretary, after listening to the delegation, assured the delegation that he would settle all the issues shortly. Regarding regularisation, he said that the process is under way.
Later the delegation met Special Secretaries, Kanta Devi and Anu Behl. They were apprised of all the issues at length. Discussions were held for the resolution of the problems being faced by the officers of +2 Cadre. Both gave patient hearing to the issues that were raised by the delegation members comprising of Ghar Singh, Jagjeet Singh, District President Poonch, Ramesh Padroo and others.
The delegation also met Abhishek Abrol, Deputy Secretary Govt School Education Department . The delegation expressed the hope that he would take the matter go its logical conclusion to pave way for regularisation of all I/C lecturers.
Rakwal personally handed over the invitations to Principal Secretary, Special Secretaries and the Deputy Secretary for the Lecturers ‘ Day being celebrated later this month which they accepted warmly.
