Lecturers’ Forum calls on Principal Secretary SED, highlights demands

JAMMU, Jan 28: A delegation of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum, led by president, Pardeep Singh Rakwal and Chairman, RS Salathia, called on Principal Secretary School Education Department, Suresh Kumar Gupta in his office Chamber and submitted a memorandum of demands.
Director School Education Jammu, Ashok Kumar Sharma was also present on the occasion.
The Forum delegation expressed serious concern over unnecessary delay in the process of regularisation and urged the Principal Secretary to convene DPC for regularisation of Incharge lecturers at the earliest.
The delegation also raised the issues of ACP, repatriation of lecturers and left-out Principals from other districts and Zone 5, elevation of at least 50 more senior lecturers to the rank of Principals so that pending vacancies of Principals could be filled up to make Higher Secondary Schools functional in the interest of student community.
Responding to the issues raised by the Forum, the Principal Secretary informed the members that work on regularisation of Incharge lecturers was in progress and the department would soon go for regularisation. He further said that all the issues will be resolved in the sequence of priority.
The delegation later met Gulzar Ahmed Dar, Special Secretary SED ; Abhishek Abrol, Deputy Secretary ; Thannaji Bhatt , Under Secretary and Nodal Officer HRM Section in their office chambers and had detailed discussion with them with regularisation of incharge lecturers on top agenda.
Besides Rakwal and Salathia, others who were part of the delegation included Ghar Singh, Ramesh Kumar Padroo, Gh Nabi Malik, Bal Krishan Tickoo and Rajnish Raina.
