JAMMU, Jan 28: A delegation of +2 Lecturers Organisation of Jammu province led by the Central Working Committee (CWC) members met Veena Pandita , Secretary, J&K BOSE, Jammu and submitted a memorandum to her. The CWC members discussed various issues concerning the fair conduct of Board examinations especially the process of assigning examination duties.
The CWC members expressed deep concern over the repetition of some selected individuals in the Board exam duties in different capacities including invigilation/flying squard. Repetition of same individuals over the years raises suspicion and makes the process of assigning exam duties shady, they added. It was also highlighted that a traditional network is at work which needs to be shattered so that the vested interests are not able to pollute the sacred process of examination.
The CWC members also highlighted that the seniority of the Lecturers is being blatantly compromised in the exam duties at the behest of vested interests which is detrimental to the fair conduct of Board exams. The representatives expressed concern over the meager and humiliating honorarium being paid to the employees @ Rs 180/- per day during exam duties while a superintendent of a center is paid @ Rs 140/- per day. It is highly disgracing for the Lecturers community.
Various other issues were also discussed for streamlining the process of Board exam and to restore the dignity of the Lectures fraternity. The PSC Lecturers assured their full cooperation to the Secretary to improve the system.
The Secretary appreciated the genuine concerns of the PSC Lectures’ representatives and assured the delegation of her support and early redressal of some of their issues.
Those who comprised the delegation included Ajay S Baloria, Manjit S Chib, Rishi Manhas, Dr Rajneesh Sharma, Rakesh Choudhary, Sandeep Sharma, Sanjeev Verma, Satya Bhushan and others.
