Left out units asked to submit details for 2012-17 Central Package incentives

Entrepreneurs should register with portal

JAMMU, Dec 26: Directorate of Industries and Commerce Jammu has sought details of the unit holders in the Manufacturing and Service Sector, who did not avail the incentives under the Central Package, applicable from June 15, 2012 to June 14, 2017, so that higher authorities are apprised about the number of left out cases.
These unit holders have been asked to approach the concerned District Industries Centre along with relevant documents by January 5, 2020.
“All the unit holders in the Manufacturing and Service Sector, who have not availed the incentives under the Central Package, are requested to approach the concerned District Industries Centre along with relevant documents by or before January 5, 2020 so that higher authorities are apprised about the number of left out cases,” reads a notice, issued by the Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Jammu.
The details have been sought in view of the fact that the Department of Industries and Commerce is still receiving requests from some unit holders to accept their claims for subsidy under the previous Central Package, which was applicable to the units who had undergone commercial production with effect from June 15, 2012 to June 14, 2017.
In case of pending Capital Investment Subsidy cases, the Department for Industrial Promotion & Internal Trade had conveyed the approval of competent authority to extend the last date for clearance of pending claims under the Special Package of Incentives upto July 31, 2019 and the same were cleared in the SLC meetings.
Pertinent to mention here that the Department of Industrial Promotion and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, vide number 1(10)/2012-SPS Dated 03-10-2013 had announced Industrial Incentives for the State of J&K for the manufacturing and servicing sector, wherein the incentives were available under Central Capital Investment Subsidy Scheme, Central Interest Subsidy Scheme and Central Comprehensive Insurance Subsidy Scheme.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Industries and Commerce Jammu has also reminded the eligible Industrial undertakings or Service sector units to register their projects with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade on the portal https://ncog.gov.in/ids/login in order to avail the incentives under Industrial Development Scheme 2017, which shall remain in force up to March 31, 2020.
