Legal Awareness Camps held

UDHAMPUR, Apr 29: Legal Awareness Camps were organized by the Tehsil Legal Service Committee in Udhampur tehsil at Government High School Kultyar and Government Middle School Lutyar in Pancheri block.
Advocate Sanjeet Kumar Bavouria and Advocate SD Kotwal were the resource persons of the camps.
The main objective of camps were to aware the people about the rights of children and women folk of the society.
Large number of people including students, teachers, local Panchs, Sarpanchs, Namberdar and chowkidars participated in the camps.
Resource persons Advocate Sanjeet Kumaria Bavouria and SD Kotwal awared the participants that the Indian constitution as well as the constitution of J&K has given equal rights to all the citizens without any gender discrimination and provision of special rights to the children and women in both the constitutions of our country as well as of our state J&K.
They also awared that on the violation of these special rights an individual can knock the door of the Supreme as well as of the High Court under the Section 32 or 226.
Moreover legal bodies have provided a free legal aid to the complainant, they said.
They also awared the people about the Right to Education, Child Labour Law, Minor Child Marriage Law, Child Adoption Law, Domestic Violence, Property Laws of Children and Women, Divorce Law, etc.
