JAMMU, Dec 19 : Legislators representing Panchayats in the Legislative Council Ghulam Nabi Monga, Ali Mohammad Dar and Dr. Shahnaz Ganai called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here this afternoon and discussed various issues relating to the functioning and strengthening of Panchayati Raj Institutions in the State.
They stressed on the need of early completion of Panchayat Ghars in all the Blocks and making Panchayat Raj functional at all the three tiers. The Legislators brought various other matters to the notice of the Chief Minister which were related to the welfare of Sarpanchs and Panchs and upgrading their functioning.
