NEW DELHI, Oct 24: BJP’s win in the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) elections will echo in Bihar Assembly polls results, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said here today.
“People across the country are voting BJP for its developmental agenda. Party’s victory in Ladakh will echo in the results of Bihar Assembly elections,” said Singh, Minster of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
BJP has won 18 out of the 26 LAHDC seats.
“BJP is gaining importance across the country. The results in Bihar will prove it,” said the Minister, a Lok Sabha MP from Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur constituency.
The counting for high-stake Bihar Assembly polls is scheduled to be held on November 8.
“The people of Leh have set an example by demonstrating wisdom and discretion for becoming part of Narendra Modi’s developmental mission instead of remaining out of the mainstream,” Dr Jitendra Singh said.
He added that the victory has also established BJP’s pan India acceptability considering that northern most region of India (Leh) and southern most region of the country (Kanyakumari) have both voted for the BJP. It may be mentioned here that BJP represents Kanyakumari Lok Sabha seat also.
