UDHAMPUR, May 18: Panic gripped Tehsil Latti-Marothi of District Udhampur after a leopard attack at village Chapper in Latti, early this morning.
The leopard sneaked into cattle house of Saraj Din, son of Kamar Din of village Chapper, this morning around 4 am and killed one horse besides injuring another animal.
After the villagers reported the incident, a Police team along with Wildlife Department officials visited the area. The villagers, who were worried about their own lives and livestock , appealed the Wildlife Conservation Department officials and district administration to capture the leopard and take appropriate action for their security.
