DODA, Dec 23: A leopard was caught in a trap laid by the Wildlife Department here this morning.
The trap was laid last month after some locals of the area complained about the presence of a leopard in Ward number 17 (Parmaz area) of Doda.

This morning the leopard got stuck in the trap and personnel from the Wildlife Department took custody of the beast after which locals of the area heaved a sigh of relief.
Even after the beast was caught the department officials said that the trap has not been removed as the locals of the area have demanded that the department should not remove the net as some more leopards might be present in the area which can harm people at any time.
