Srinagar, June 28: Locals and Wildlife officials of Qasba-e-Yaar village of southern Pulwama district today captured leopard cubs in morning hours.
The locals said that in the morning they spotted two leopard cubs at Qasba-e-Yaar and informed Wildlife officials who immediately rushed to the spot. An official of the Wildlife said that after being informed, a team was deputed to the village and both the leopard cubs were captured.
He said that they kept the cubs in a cage in the village so that their mother comes and takes them along. “We are waiting and we hope she will come. We have cautioned locals about possible assault by leopard,” he said.
