KATHUA, Mar 12: A leopard killed at least a dozen goats and sheep in remote Barmota area of Bani tehsil of district Kathua last night.
Reports said that one Rakesh Thakur reported the matter to Bani Police Station today that 12 goats/ sheep of one Sham Lal, resident of Barmota village near Loang were killed by the leopard during last night. He said that a leopard has created terror in the area. The wild beats entered into the cattle shed of Sham Lal and killed his ten goats.
The police and veterinary team went to the spot. The villagers have demanded compensation in favour of poor family.
