MENDHAR, May 23: A leopard killed 20 goats and sheep besides three horses of a nomad in Pir Panjal area in past 2-3 days.
The victim, identified as Mohd Sharief, son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Kalaban, Mendhar reported the matter to police. Later, DC Poonch Sajjad Ahmed Khan after receiving information, deputed a team of police, Wild Life department and Veterinary officials to the area. After on sport postmortem, the bodies of animals were disposed off.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
