RAJOURI, Aug 9: A full grown leopard killed five sheep of a villager in Sunderbani area of district Rajouri today.
Official sources said that a villager namely, Bamba, son of Katalu Ram, resident of Kuldabi in Sunderbani, reported to Police Station, Sunderbani that he had gone to forest area to graze his sheep and goats. A full grown leopard attacked and killed his five goats. He somehow escaped and saved his life.
On this information, the police party left for the spot and after investigation registered a case in this connection. The villagers have been alerted by police and concerned Wild Life officials have been informed about movement of leopard in the area.
