KATRA, Apr 11: Amid Coronavirus lockdown, a leopard was spotted near the Asia Chowk Katra, where some labourers are staying in their make shift huts.
The said leopard is believed to be female as it was reportedly accompanied by two cubs. The presence of leopard came to light after the beast killed a dog, last night.
On being informed by some locals and the hotel authorities, the Wildlife Department today put a cage in the area to catch the leopard and its cubs. “We have also noticed footprints of the leopard and all efforts are being made to catch it,” said a Wildlife official.
The presence of leopard has triggered a panic among locals, particularly the labourers staying in the area.
