Leopard trapped in Malwas

DODA, Dec 31: A leopard which has been on the attacking spree in Malwas area here for the last several days and has created panic among the locals finally fell into the trap laid by wildlife officials today.
The trapped leopard is a male and around six years old, the officials said.
The leopard had killed many domestic animals in the area.
After several complaints from the villagers, Wildlife Department with the help of forest officials laid a trap in which the animal fell this morning.
The officers of Zonal Wildlife Department and police personnel headed by SHO Doda visited the spot and took the caged animal to forest and released there.
It is learnt that the leopard was sick and was roaming on the roadside when villagers saw it and informed wildlife officials.
