SRINAGAR, May 30: Police today arrested a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant from Rampora area of Chattabal in Srinagar city and recovered two grenades from his possession.
Sources said that acting on specific information, a Special Operation Group party raided a house in Chattabal and arrested Ashfaq Ahmad Sofi of Sopore in North Kashmir.
Sofi was earlier arrested in 2006, 2009 and 2012 for being an over ground worker of the LeT. He was missing since September 2013 and had joined LeT. He is being questioned.
