Let’s follow Guru Ravidas Ji’s ideals of equality and religious harmony: Amarinder

CHANDIGARH, Feb 18:
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday appealed to the people to follow the ideals of equality and religious tolerance, propagated by Sri Guru Ravidas ji, whose Parkash Utsav is being celebrated across the state.
The ideologies of the great exponents of the Bhakti movement are extremely relevant in today’s world, and need to be reiterated and reaffirmed by every section of the society, said the Chief Minister, extending his greetings to the people on the occasion.
In these times of divisiveness, marked by attempts by certain forces to create discord on the lines of caste and community, the principles propounded by the mystic poet saint are of extreme value, which need to be restated at every step, said the Chief Minister. He called upon the people to celebrate the sacred occasion in the true spirit of the eternal teachings of universal brotherhood, oneness of mankind and spirituality promoted by Sri Guru Ravidas ji.
