LG Admn fails to resolve people issues: GCPF

JAMMU, Apr 7: Prof Yash Paul Sanson, president of General Category Peoples’ Front-Jammu & Kashmir (GCPF-JK) has strongly condemned LG Administration for its failure to redress the grievances of people, especially the middle class.
It was stated by him while addressing the meeting of core group of the Front which was attended by office bearers including Som Nath Sharma, VK Sharma, Bhushan Pargal, Deepak Khajuria, Dr Bansi Lal, Raj Kumar Banathia, Surinder Kumar Sharma and Gopal Dass Verma.
They alleged that the people of Jammu province were upset with LG and his administration for not lessening and solving the problems of the common masses including electricity, water supply and medical facilities. “Middle class has been facing total neglect during the present regime due to the stoppage of all the subsidies, freebies and monetary relief,” they alleged.
Som Nath Sharma said that the Government should chalk out a strategy to check price-rise of essential commodities and demanded that fifty percent cut in electricity and water bills and also end all toll plazas in J&K. He also appealed to the Govt to reserve 100 percent 4th class posts for young widows and for the person whose family lost an earning hand member.
They also urged that to increase the medical allowance of employees and pensioners who get Rs 300 per month for the last 20 years.
