JAMMU, Mar 6: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Monday inaugurated new facilities at Jammu Club and congratulated its members for carrying out cultural and social welfare programs.
As patron of the Jammu Club, the Lt. Governor inaugurated the diner restaurant, family lounge, and Aakash Rooftop Restaurant in the presence of ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh, Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar (IAS), who is also the Vice-President of the club, and other members.
During his address, the Lt. Governor emphasized the importance of promoting clubs as a medium for community development and inspiring social change.
He urged everyone to introspect because rights and duties are two sides of the same coin. He also encouraged paying for services wherever necessary to accelerate the development trajectory of the UT.
The Vice-President of Jammu Club, Ramesh Kumar, welcomed the guests and spoke about the club’s achievements.
ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh was the Special Guest of the occasion, while DIG Jammu Samba range Shakti Pathak, DC Jammu Avny Lavasa, and Commissioner JMC Rahul Yadav also attended the event.
The Secretary of the Club, Gaurav Gupta, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest LG Manoj Sinha and other guests for gracing the occasion.
He highlighted that since he assumed his position 13 months ago, he has received overwhelming support from his team to complete the new facilities in a record time.
He further added that they are working under the stewardship of their Vice-President, Ramesh Kumar to make the club the best suitable place for dining and spending quality time with all the modern amenities under one roof.
