LEH, Feb 4: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retired) inaugurated the renovated/improved Karzoo Zing.
Chief Engineer, PHE and I&FC Ladakh, Maqbool Hussain informed the LG about the project, its cost, usage of stones and cement; the construction of inlet and outlet channels in the pond so that the water could be used for irrigation purposes. The LG directed the concerned department to ensure the proper maintenance of the pond.
Advisor to LG, Dr Pawan Kotwal; Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Ghulam Mehdi; Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve and other officials were present on the occasion.
The LG also visited the old Raj Niwas at Karzoo, where he inspected the ongoing work of the old Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat.
