LEH, Oct 1: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R K Mathur, met the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, in New Delhi and apprised him of the position of the health sector in Ladakh post-Covid pandemic.
The LG informed about the progress of various health-related projects sanctioned by the Government of India for Ladakh, the e-Sanjeevani teleconsultation service being provided in Ladakh and the target set to eradicate tuberculosis (TB) from Ladakh by the end of 2023.
LG Mathur thanked the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) for its cooperation and assistance to provide better health services for the people in Ladakh. He requested for the early release of the remaining 1000 oxygen cylinders out of 2,000 sanctioned by the Ministry.
MoHFW Dr Mansukh Mandaviya appreciated the medical facilities provided to the people of Ladakh. He assured to provide an additional 1,000 oxygen cylinders for Ladakh in addition to the 2,000 oxygen cylinders as promised earlier. He also informed about his desire to visit Ladakh.
