LG Secretariat References Monitoring Cell established in GAD

JAMMU, Sept 18: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir today accorded sanction to the establishment of `Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat References Monitoring Cell’ in the General Administration Department for expeditious follow-up and better coordination with the Administrative Departments Deputy Commissioners as required for disposal of the representations/grievances received by the LG Secretariat.
Consequent upon this, four officials have been posted in the Monitoring Cell with immediate effect. These include Deputy Secretary Vikas Sharma (awaiting orders of adjustment in the GAD), Under Secretary Nazir Ahmad Rather (awaiting orders of posting), Mohd Saleem, Head Assistant, department of Tourism and Nazar-ul-Islam, Junior Assistant, department of Floriculture, Parks and Gardens.
The Cell, headed by Shabir Hussain Bhat- Additional Secretary GAD, shall segregate all the references/petitions sent from the Lt Governor’s Secretariat into two categories; grievances about service delivery and other references.
The grievances about service delivery/non-performance of Government functions/small issues shall be sent to the concerned Deputy Commissioners/ Department for resolution. These will also be entered in the J&K Integrated Grievance Redress and Monitoring System. Other references/petitions will be forwarded to the concerned departments for consideration.
