LG’s appeal to people

That after more than five months of corona-virus pandemic having struck people menacingly across the country including Jammu and Kashmir ,there should be repeated ‘appeals’ and ‘pleadings’ and ‘pleas’ almost on a routine basis from the Government speaks about not following the protocol of precautions and preventions strictly and even on ground , on day to day basis , glaring breaches are continuously observed. We, unfortunately note that there has been a spike in the number of cases testing corona-virus positive which means infections and transmissions of the virus taking place due to not observing the set guidelines by most of us.
In this connection, Lieutenant Governor G . C. Murmu has again appealed to the people to strictly follow the guidelines in respect of COVID-19 pandemic which, inter-alia , are wearing a mask , maintaining physical distance of more than a metre from one another and intermittently washing hands with soap and water. To put it in a more business like pointed words is – “follow the protocol strictly in your own interest or be ready to perish ” since the situation, instead of showing bright side of infected new cases drastically declining , it was the other way round causing concern.
