UDHAMPUR, Feb 23: Liberty Shoes Limited today opened its outlet at JNE and China Complex in the Northern Command Army Headquarters Complex located in Udhampur.
An Army Jawan formally inaugurated the showroom in the presence of Major General Sujit Shivaji Patil, Chief of the Northern Command, who was chief guest on the occasion. The program was presided over by Manan Bansal, Promoter of Liberty Shoes Limited. Marketing Department’s Anil Soupri and Area Head Sandeep Khanna formally welcomed the guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Major Gen Sujit Shivaji Patil said that the products of Liberty Shoes Ltd are of quality and comfortable and hence preferred by the Army. He said that the management of Liberty Shoes Ltd has done a good job by opening its outlets in the Army Headquarters. He said the relationship between the Army and Liberty Shoes goes back several decades old and Liberty makes great shoes for the military.
Promoters of Liberty Shoes Ltd Manan Bansal said that it would be a great opportunity for him to do something for the Army. “Armymen protect the country by risking their lives day and night and hence it is our duty to do something for them,” he added.
He said that this was the second outlet of Liberty Shoes in North Command. Earlier one was opened in Patiala. Apart from this, one has been opened in North Eastern Command at Kolkata. Army Jawans are given maximum discount in these outlets. Shoes, slippers and other products are also made available here at very low prices as compared to the market.
On the occasion, Marketing Head Anil Soupri said that about 50 to 85 articles are displayed in the outlet. These include international level products. The Articles have been selected keeping in mind the convenience for Army people in hilly areas. Sandeep Khanna presented vote of thanks to the guests.
