JAMMU, Oct 1: The Pension & Group Schemes (P&GS) Unit of LIC of India today inaugurated LIC’s Social Security month celebration at its Rail Head office complex, Jammu.
D.C Thakur, Sr Divisional Manager, was the chief guest while Saqleen Kaur, Dy Director Planning Social Welfare Deptt & CS Bhawani, Marketing Manager were the guests of honour.
The focus of the function was Aam Admi Bima Yojana and Janashree Bima Yojana which provide insurance cover to unorganized and under privilege sections of the society.
While speaking on the occasion, Singh apprised the participants of various group insurance social security schemes and stressed upon the participants to highlight the benefits to the masses through their workers at ground level.
Chaitanya Sharma highlighted the benefits of the scheme and called upon the NGOs and various Govt Welfare Departments to avail full benefit of the scheme.
Sharma asked all the participants to work with transparency & accountability as LIC is also a big social organisation to wipe out tears of every needy & helpless.
