Life disrupted for 45th day

Srinagar, Sept 18: Normal life remained disrupted for 45th day today in Kashmir with schools and business establishments closed in Valley and traffic off the roads.
The markets continued to remain closed and public transport was off the roads. At few places, people had blocked the roads but security forces rushed to the spot and cleared the roads.
The schools remained open across the Valley but the students failed to turn up as parents are unwilling to send their wards. Some schools are providing study material to the students to cope with the losses suffered by the students.
The mobile telephone services and internet including broadband services continue to remain suspended since August 5.
